2023 Volvo S60 Power Options
Standard under the hood of the Core, Plus and Ultimate trim levels is the B5 engine, a 247-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and is available in both front- or all-wheel drive.
For those interested in the advantages of a plug-in hybrid, the S60 offers the Recharge T8 engine available in the same trim levels with the addition of the Polestar Engineered performance trim in standard all-wheel drive. The Recharge T8 engine combines the features of the B5 engine with a plug-in hybrid system that features an 18.8kWh battery pack that extends the pure electric possibilities – providing more power, as well as better fuel efficiency. The Recharge T8 bumps the horsepower to an impressive 455-horsepower, while offering an EPA-estimated all-electric range of 41 miles when the battery is fully charged.
